We are a women-led 501(c)(3) not-for-profit social enterprise committed to supporting the revitalization efforts within the Midtown District, surrounding neighborhoods, and Rockford community.

When Katie’s Cup first opened in January 2009, plans were already in the works to integrate a bookstore element into our original business model. But, as time went on, the demands of our day-to-day operations, manpower, and focus shifted to meet the community’s more immediate needs and the changing business landscape. The dream of a bookshop was slowly moved to the back burner of future planning.
